McClatchy Ad Manager offers multiple campaign formats to help you reach your ideal audience:
- Print Campaigns: Place ads in local newspapers to boost visibility for limited-time offers, local events, or branding efforts.
- Digital Display Campaigns: Run impression-based banner ads across McClatchy websites, mobile apps, and E-Editions.
- Email Marketing: Send dedicated promotional emails to thousands of potential customers directly in their inboxes.
Once your campaign is set up, you’ll proceed to Checkout, where you can complete your payment or add additional campaigns. Payments are securely processed via major credit cards using our trusted payment provider.
Targeting options vary based on the type of campaign you choose, but may include:
- Geotargeting: Reach users by country, state, city, or DMA (Designated Market Area).
- Frequency Capping: Use McClatchy's best practice defaults to limit how often an individual sees your ad in a given day.
- Scheduling & Dayparting: Select specific days and times for your ads to run, depending on campaign type.
These settings allow you to customize delivery and reach based on your goals and audience behavior.
You have two options:
- Upload a finished creative (JPG or PNG) from your computer or creative library.
- Build an ad using our built-in creative builder.
All creatives are reviewed by McClatchy before going live. You’ll receive an email notification once your ad is approved or if it needs changes. You can submit a new creative at any time. See creative best practices in our McClatchy Ad Design Tips.
Pricing depends on the campaign type, ad size, and frequency:
- Print Campaigns: Pricing varies based on newspaper selection. A minimum of three placements is recommended for optimal results.
- Digital Display Ads: Start at $600/month for 60,000 impressions.
